After seeing this, I decided to try this myself for the kids' bathroom. Instead of painting the wood myself, I decided to take the easy/lazy way out and buy the premade, prepainted wooded cutouts. It was scandalously simple! This is what I ended up with:
The top plug is for a nightlight, but it was hard to get a good pic with it in.

You could always use a larger wooden cut out & glue 2 plug thingys to the back to cover the whole outlet. Again, mine has a nightlight plugged into it, so no need.
Easy peasy! Scratch that off my list!

I think it's cute but it also kinda attracts kids to play with the outlets.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right! I thought about that too, but mine are high enough (sink level) that it would only be an issue while they are standing at the counter washing hands or brushing teeth and I am always right there with them. I won't be adding these to any of the lower plugs!
